  • George W Bush and his father are bonesmen, so they have friends who have a $100b reason for wanting the media and anti-genocide (anti-colonial) groups to remain focused on Darfur or the Middle East. The $100b reason being profits in the colonies of Indonesia suffering silent genocides. But Obama might not be a bonesman, so allowing some action as GW leaves office is as good a means of claiming he had good intentions as any. But will Obama be any more willing to stop the colonial exploitation of Pacific and other Islands by Indonesia?

  • Unbelievable. Aren't you the same people that are screaming about the militarization of US foreign policy? The Sudanese government is funded by the Chinese. Using the military to blockade a port is an act of war...and the Chinese will certainly not be all too happy about losing a major oil supplier. You better rethink your strategic plan...

  • I say we just blow all the Sudanese to bits...that'll take care of everything

  • There is no doubt that support for the UN forces in Darfur could offer protection to the vulnerable and displaced in Darfur. However, does the mandate for these UN forces allow them to serve warrants issued by the International Criminal Court? Will they need an additional mandate to start arresting those committing atrocities in Darfur?
