  • May I suggest that a far better way would be a change in copyright law..if a book is out of print, or a recording not for sale, or software not supported for a period of say three years, the copyright should be voided for companies and corporations after which electronic copies should be stored in an online equivalent of the Library of Congress (Google ould bid to run it) with a fee of say ten cents to access - if need be by buying an advance "book of tickets" - with the creator to receive at least three quarters of this.

  • Hooray! The LA Times addresses Google! Why it's about time too. I mean with all of the real issues that you fine "journalists" ignore, you decide to take on the e-library. I feel so informed.

  • I have posted to the internet a collection of combination webliographies and bibliographies about the various components of the Google Library such as Google Books, Google Government, Google Scholar, Google News and more and links to these bibliographic sources may be found in the Meet the Google box of my General Internet & Print Resources subject guide found on the guides dot temple dot edu home of our libraries subject guides.
