On second thought, why not let gang members kill each other? Its not like they are benifits to society. We can use the food and money spent on them to help the rest of America in the criss right now. I'll help, gimme a P90 please. :D

I agree with Jack Hunter, I to want to see proof of the NRA supporting weapons to gangs. As the body count rises? Your kidding me right? You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers. :)

Were do you get your information on the NRA? I would like for you to publish proof that they support a gangbangers right to a firearm. I am glad I canceled my subscription to your newspaper a year ago. You publish utter nonsense.
Semp Fi.

Mr. Obama has a clear gun-grabbing record for the short amount of time he has spent in government. Like so many other aspects of his past, the liberal media supports the Obama tactic of denying facts and inventing a new 'truth' about his views and intent for America. Make no mistake, an Obama America will be a Socialist America.

How does the future ruler feel about the first amendment? Broadcast stations are getting threatening letters to not air ads critical of obama, or face attempts to revoke their FCC license. How do you stop guest speakers critical of obama from speaking? Send threatening letters to station management, and get obama support minions to tie up the station's phone lines to prevent the guest speaker to have any discussion with interested listeners.
What other rights will be infringed by the ONE if he gets into office?

The full quote is: 'I will not take your shotgun away. I will not take your rifle away. I won't take your handgun away." because I do not have the votes.
Actually he does have the votes, the democrats have control of the house and senate.
And the anonymous editor neglects to mention Handgun Control's endorsement of obama, and obama's position on the board of the joyce foundation - a group that finances any group that will push for gun ban legislation.
So the L.A. Times has resumed taking reader comments? Guess they didn't like the reader push back on their commentaries about Sarah Palin. I guess they felt that bashing gun owners and the NRA is a safe bet for their readers. Not! They just want to minimize or misrepresent Obama's stand against gun ownership so that voters will be fooled into voting for him on election day. Just report the news, guys, and let us sort it out. We can do that just fine without your help.

Okay he won't take them away but he will certainly sign legislation to jack up the cost of shooting. Close down shooting ranges and all the rest of the crap. So it won't make a difference. He won't have to even pay for your new paper weight.

NObama has a long history of no compromise gun grabbing. McCain may only be the lesser of two evils, but he is still less evil.

Wasn't it an LA times editorial which advocated all citizens turn in their so-called "assault weapons" within 30 days or face felony charges? As an avowed enemy of the second amendment I would think the LA Times would joyously embrace Obama as fellow anti-gunner, just as the anti-gun lobby group The Brady Campaign (formely Handgun Control Inc.) has endorsed Obama.
But just as HCI changed it's name, Obama (and the LA Times) is playing the game of pretend. Pretend that Obama isn't anti-gun so maybe he can fool the public just long enought to get elected.
