No more dialogue on race
1.
LaJimm,
You could possibly be right if W refers to Wilson, who got us into a war we had no business in.
2. Sorry, but if Sen. Obama is the Democratic nominee, the southern whites that are for Sen. Clinton will defect and vote for John McCain in spite of her asking them not to. Just because Sen. Obama carried the southern states like Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, North and South Carolina does not mean that he would carry them in the general election anyway. These states have all gone Republican for the last 20 years. With Sen. Clinton, I believe the Democratic party would have a chance to carry the south in the general election.
3. Great article; should be widely distributed so that everyone who cares about the future survival of the US can know it.
4. Bush in't running, true. But the candidates have to run against his legacy and the mess we have to clean up in terms of Iraq and the budget.
5. Bush isn't on the ballot. Most of us don't care about race, except for cultures that fixate on it instead of more important issues such as education and job skills.
6. Bush isn't running, but John McSame is; what's the difference. Rev Wright isn't running, nor is Jimmy Carter, yet there are more comments about them in this blog then the actual candidates. I don't blame them. When you have nothing good to say, you have to blow smoke.
7. "Race" is just another deflection by corporate media to stop talking about the worst President in American History or the state of the nation and its' economy created by the owners of the same corporate media. This country is so off-course, pushed along by the military-industrial owned corporate media, that no one should ever pick-up a newspaper or tune into a TV newscast in this country. The more they can talk about "race" they must talk about their usurious profits and their illegal and unprovoked war in Iraq, both of which are driving this country into a depression.
8. I like to point to green, leafy, short perennials with woody stems and say "I think of that as a harmless bush, and I think it's a good thing to have harmless bushes in your world." Please notice there is nothing illegal about this joke. All of us, dear reader, are about as connected to it. The President whose name sounds the same, on the other hand, seems to be guilty of many "high crimes and misdemeanors". Why should I stop respecting the law just because Congress won't impeach?
9. # one - Bush is not running # two - nothing constructive said that helps the issue # three - victimology at its best
10. Race should NOT determine who wins the President's seat. What are they going to do to FIX the problems in America...like the illegals taking this country over...our economy going down the tubes ... Get rid of the illegals and our economy would be better... Billions of dollars they send to their country...doesn't help American economy!!! I don't care if the President is white, black, man or woman... I want one who is going care about America and it's citizens..LEGAL Citizens. I'm tired of the blood sucking politicians we have in Washington now...draining us of our money.
