  • To Paul, My,you are a very angry person aren't you? I've personally known two gay couples in my extended family who have raised children in the home and I can honestly they are just a mess mentally. One is serving many years for sexual abuse on a minors. Now,this also happens in a father/mother home, however,at least they usually know they are either a male or female. If they choose to live like this, fine, but constitutional protection should not include couples based on their sexual preference. The people voted,it should stand or else we need a new Presidential,Senate and Congressional vote. You deal with it!

  • Concerned individuals with even the slightest amount of forsight know that once homosexual marriage is ratified by the state, the public school curriculum will immediately teach the ambiguity/acceptance of non-traditional marriage (male and female or male and male or female and female). People are not "ignorant" or "idiotic" because they disagree with using the public school system to teach children about alternative sexual lifestyles. The constitution protects the majority, too.

  • It is the duty of the federal government to overturn laws that discriminate against anyone, for any reason. In such a case, the will of the people is irrelevant. The government has an obligation to protect people from their own stupidity and ignorance. It's that simple. You don't get to vote to devalue a certain group of people. Disagree? Well, substitute "interracial" for "same-sex". Or how about banning marriage of people with different religious beliefs? Still disagree? If so, too bad. The government will save you from yourself.

  • Get ready for Schubert to continue his company's P.R. campaign. Since he is the hired gun for the discriminatory proposition, I imagine they will be working overtime having their operatives send letters to editors across California attempting to sway the newspaper editors opinion & also to receive what they call 'earned media component' which is basically free media. Don't let newspaper editors fall for this! Start writing to your editors immediately !! Schubert's operatives/fake citizens have started their 'earned media' campaign.

  • Gee Paul why do you have to be so mean to Bill? It sounds like you are sorta sensitive, sounds like someone has some personal issues. (Did you get into a fight with your husband?) The majority has spoken so shut up and deal with it you sore losers!!!

  • If Legal Domestic Partnerships are "second class" then why did the gay community work so hard to develop them? If that's true, every existing domestic partnership should be dissolved because, God forbid we should let anyone classify themselves as a second class citizen! "Separate but equal" dates back to when Blacks had to use separate drinking fountains, separate toilets, etc. Thank God, that ended long ago. Before then, there weren’t the legal protections for Blacks and ethnic minorities that now exist for gay couples. EVERY RIGHT THE STATE PROVIDES MARRIED COUPLES IT ALREADY PROVIDES LEGAL DOMESTIC PARTNERS! This is not "second class."

  • You sodomite creeps who all of a sudden disagree with the democratic process; I then suggest that you move to some foreign muslim rathole where they'll just chop off your 'parts' in a heartbeat for engaging in your chosen sexual preference.

  • "[Prop 8] provides that gays and lesbians -- alone among consenting adult couples -- shall not have the opportunity to enjoy the rights, privileges and social approbation conferred by the status of lawful marriage." No, you are wrong; gays and lesbians are not "alone among consenting adult couples." Prop 8 provides that only unions of one man and one woman may be recognized by the state as marriage. This applies to three consenting adult men, four consenting adult women, and two consenting adult donkeys just as much as it applies gays.

  • Why can't gay people get married?
