Dont forget to mention the Democrat Mayor for Birmingham, Alabama. I believe he was just indicted on corruption charges. November 4th 2008, will become the worst day in American history! If we survive the next 4 years,Liberals make me sick!

When Blagojevich realized that Obama wouldn't "pay to play," he told aides he wouldn't just "suck it up" and give this "mother-[expletive]" -- the president-elect -- "his senator. [Expletive] him. For nothing? "[Expletive] him
QUESTION: HOW DID BLANGO REALIZE THAT OBAMA WOULD NOT PLAY FOR PAY? IF THEIR PEOPLE WERE NOT IN TOUCH ON THE SUBJECT?

Funny your article never mentions Obama's unfailing support for this man and others like him in the Chicago political system. I hope Barney Frank, Charlie Rangel and Chris Dodd read this article.....

Iraq was not moral corruption. What a ridiculous statement. I'll bet millions of Iraqi's are damned glad we're there. Our soldiers surely are glad to get the job done. Seems the only scandal about Iraq is the Democrat majority who refuse to believe we can win even as we win. From Reid's real estate deals to Pelosi's and Feinstein's conflicts of interest, to Rangels fraud, to Frank and Dodd's scheming, we're in for a bumpy ride!

You must be slipping. This is your first column that I recall that you did not blame President George W. Bush and/or his administration as the cause or reason.

I was visiting Chicago when this story broke. I didn't know what political party the govenor represented. I'm amazed after reading the USA Today, the Detroit FreePress, and Chicago Tribune as well as the NPR website I could not answer this question. Shamed Republican Senators Larry Craig and Ted Stevens seem always to be linked to their part. QUESTION: Is this by chance or evidence of a systematic media bias in political reporting.

There is a tendency to say that Blagojevich's actions are equivalent to the actions of other ethically challenged people, like Stevens or George Ryan. Blagojevich's actions make Stevens and Ryan look like pikers; what Blagojevich is alleged to have done is far, far worse.

"Idiocy and greed aren't just for Republicans..."
Gosh, whoever said it was?
And whoever said there was blatant bias in the LA Times? Now that's just plain silly.

want her gone? stop reading and comminting on her writings.you are what keeps her there. she says things that will make you react so she remains popular and keeps her job. make her or what she says unimportant!

Do you expect me to believe that corruption is only in Illinois? How dumb do you think I am? I know for a fact that stuff like this is going on all around the country, and it gets me to believe that there's a government inner circle within the government and if your not team player than you will get busted, and the one's who are team players wont get busted, Like Bush was.
