  • As our economy craters into what will become a world-wide depression, any estimated job creation numbers will not be worth the paper they're printed on. Who is going to be able to afford anything these "projects" will bring? Certainly no one but golden-parachuted CEOs, that's for sure.

  • so this is why I got a big glossy 4-color brochure in the mail over the weekend....all about Universal project being a good neighbor...don't remember anything about the Thomas guy being mentioned.

  • DO NOT ALLOW Thomas & GE take over any more land. GE was stupid enough to let the property in Burbank go, that is their problem, not the community surrounding it. I grew up going to St. Charles Catholic School. The congestion is just getting worse & worse. I no longer live in that area, but I worked at NBC when it was a wonderful place to work, until GE took over. I hope the community sticks together. Thank you

  • The only problem I have with this is that they are not making it a desirable city center that it could be. If anyone has ever been to Potsdammer Platz in Berlin it is a truly remarkable place and great to hang out in. Los Angeles needs more gathering places like this but from the metro studio website. I see no plan to make a tru center that would make the area an attractive place to live and increase property values. The project is certified green. Also, the upgrades are eventually going to need to be done to the infrastructure anyway, so why not have companies foot some of the bill for it.
