Calling David Weigel a Republican makes it painfully obvious you know nothing about him.

Present situation demands
"UNIFIED SUSTAINABLE APPROACH" (USA) and it is
expected from each one of us to play a very very
responsible role of a team player expected of us. WE MUST CAST OFF ALL PRIDE & PREJUDICES FOR A
CHANGE.

It will be tough to reign in the very liberal democrats and Obama had to pick someone who can deliver the message to those senators and congressmen. Any president needs someone to fight for him behind the scenes, so Obama can govern

David, like most republicans, seem to have selective memory. Bush ran his 2000 election on being a unifier not a divider, that he wasn't going to be nation builder and had a strong environmental agenda. Times are too serious to pander to dim witted conservatives who've destroyed this country. Obama appears to be as smart as he is built up to be. Let's keep it going until we turn this country around. Then the republicans can spin the ignorant to bring Jeb Bush in to destroy it again.

Emanuel's biggest problem is that he was on the board of directors at Freddie Mac at the time that the company was cooking the books. When this situation is thoroughly investigated, Rahm is going to find himself in the middle of a huge scandal. Although, as Chief of Staff for the President, he may be able to quash the investigation.

That's interesting. So Rahm Emanuel is basically the right-wing voice (for the Democrats) in Obama's left-wing crusade...socialism with a dash of Zionism.

What signal does this send the middle east muslim countries when the new Presidents right hand man is a Jew? And a rabid one at that who served in the IDL or jewish defense league. Once again we have Jews running our government. See Scooter Libby and Richard Perle. Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia et al, know there will never be an peace in the occupied lands so long as a Jew is at the levers of power in our government. Nice try Mr. Obama.

Energy Independence needs to be included in the realm of our economic issues. Our dependence on foreign oil impacts every aspect of our society and economy. This past year is a testimony to that fact. Jeff Wilson has a great new book out called The Manhattan Project of 2009 Energy Independence NOW. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is worried about our economy and interested in seeing our country energy independent. www.themanhattanprojectof2009.com

He's going to need Emanuels assistance to buffer the assault from the right-wing that's likely to come before long into his tenure.
