Ron the Dept of Defense budget is bloated and the DOD wastes taxpayer money like you would not believe; it is a pork factory, so much that our troops go without proper equipment. Don't think that there isn't a lot of fat to cut there. An educated, fit amd healthy populace is important for national security as well

I think that the idea that there is an increase in interest in Dem candidates is wishful thinking.

We are fed up with the neo-liberal, ultraconservative policies that have been the ruin of a once great country. Change is here and it will be for the betterment of all. People matter more than corporate greed.

People are fed with samo samo. People want change. They are tired of the war, they are having to think twice about retirement due to the possibly of not having healthcare, and the decline in education at our public schools. Hillary and Barack are the new stars in the Democratic Party. They offer hope, McCain is the old guard, tired and unimaginitive.

It's style instead of substance, these days, and this stupidity will end badly, almost as badly as the current administration.

I am a Republican and Obama will win primarily becasuse of Bush. This Texas moron will go down in history as the worse president.. America is sick of wars, globalization, Iraq lies, being broke, the middle east and that is why the Democrats will win. Sadly McCain is just wasting millions and alot ot peoples time, he has no chance thanks to his friend GW, when does reality set in at 25% approval rating the Republlicans will get wiped out.

Yes, we will see change, but we will find out too late that Government waste will ruin reform. I have been a moderate republican and I do have trouble with the conservative position that we all need to take care of ourselves. We need governemnt to provide better care, but I stumble when neither the Democrats nor the Republicans seem capable of Governing in a fiscally wise manner. Europe may seem to care, but government inefficiency there makes unemployment and poor economic growth standard. We need a revolution in how government runs the publics present business before stepping out on a whole new wonderful world of government programs.

It's Bush fatigue. I'd vote Democrat in a heartbeat if I thought they would dismantle the awful war/domestic-spying machine Bush has built up, but they won't. Theyll use it for their own ends. The Republicans love of small government lasted only as long as they were out of power. Once in office, the now anti-war, pro-privacy Democrats will turn pro-war and pro-patriot-act in a flash. Got to keep an eye on those right-wing nuts, you know! Remember Bill Clinton's bombing campaign over Kosovo? The V-chip? Where were the peace protesters and privacy advocates then? Where will they be when Obama decides to continue along the same path?

You have a situation where a lot of people are strapped because they have lived way beyond their means. They have no self discipline. They are blaming the party in office which in this case are the Republicans for their own failures to control spending. Query. Where is the money going to come from to pay for all these social programs. Not from the military as we always need to defend ourselves. Redistribtion of wealth has always been the UNamerican way as it kills any motive to want to expand a business.
