  • Amanda Marcotte Your article really captures who you are, not as a woman, but as a human being. Your parents must be so proud. Uggh.

  • Marcotte asks a fair question that Mangu-Ward just ignores - since Palin is running for vice-president, why did she take two weeks after the nomination to give an actual (although highly controlled and limited) interview to the press? Do Republicans think she needs that much protection? If Palin can be trusted to be VP, why can't she be trusted to handle an unscripted interview?

  • Why did the LAT feel that we need Amanda Marcotte's opinion on anything.

  • Palin's been a sitting governor, with a history of showing an ability to implement policy that isn't an embodyment of her personal faith and vewpoint. The left's efforts to demonize and misrepresent her viewpoints and policy are characteristic of any feminist issue - scream that the world is ending, back alley abortions, 1 in 4 women raped daily, etc. Considering VAWA laws, IMBRA and other issues that Biden and Obama support, the suspension of habeus corpus and due process have already affected a good number of men. Of course, this is of zero interest to feminists, since it *only* affects men.

  • Ms Clinton's foray into politics as a first lady was as an unelected official. There was no way to remove her from the projects that she chose to involve herself in, and few checks on her actions. People didn't elect the first lady to do anything, let alone nationalize the billion dollar health care industry. Nepotism, writ large.

  • Marcotte's never had a real job, other than blogging in her jammies, and she got fired by Edwards. Why couldn't the LAT find someone with some credibility to debate this subject? She doesn't have kids, either. This is such sloppy thinking on the part of LAT.com.

  • The libs say if you vote for McCain/Palin you are dumb. OK if you believe that then in my opinion if you vote for Obama/Biden you are dumber than dumb. How's that.

  • Why are they playing down her drug addiction, and how she forged her prescriptions in someone else's name, and then attacked him when he dared to go to the DEA about it to protect himself from her criminal activities?

  • Hey, aren't you the egregious woman who still thinks the Duke lacrosse players falsely accused of rape should have been executed?

    Boy Howdy @ 7:25 AM PDT, Sep 12, 2008

  • Interesting that negative assertions about a Republican are always trash and about a Democrat are always truth. So Palin hasn't said that Georgia should join NATO, compelling the US to attack Russian forces? And Obama studied at a madrassa and is a Muslim?
