How reformed is the LAPD?

Is Earl Ofari Huntichinson a paid staff member of teh Times? It seems he has carte blanche to submit articles and spew his venom wherever he wishes. He is an afro-racist in the truest sense of the word and the police are always his scapegoats. Black leadetrship in this city is abysml. Remember folks there are over 100 different nationalities in this city however the media is constantly fixated on black complaints while ignorning the rest of us.

It continues to astound me why the LA Times continues to Cow Tow To Hutchinson and Hicks over and over again while ignorning the opionion of the masses. Hutchinson is a self-appointed South Central activiist who never did, nor will like the police. To do so might mean that for once the black community has tio be responsible for it's own actions. Shooting, murder, robeeries in South Central are the fault of the black community not the cops. Hutchinson is just reading the party line.

I have taught in the hood for over 20 years, and my students tell me that they can't trust the LAPD to protect their identities if they report crimes and that the the police will sometimes give the information to gangsters just to stir up trouble. Some tell me that when they do call police, the police often hassle them for other issues. Young black males almost universally say that they are perceived as suspects by police;try living with that. So what's the point of calling the police, given these problems?

Thank you Mr. Hutchison and Mr. Hicks. for your insightful comments and perspectives. Are you gentlemen aware of the Los Angeles Urban League- Neighborhood@Work Initiative, the working model for the 5 year Strategic Plan commissioned by our President, Mr. Blair H. Taylor and our Board of Directors? Can I ask you to include, in your discussions the amazing and positive differences the League is making? As we produce, and demonstrate the effectiveness of this working model, I can already imagine more collaboration and expansion of our efforts that are leading to additional restoration and revitalization.

This Black Self-hatred not only prevents the advancement of Blacks in Los Angeles and elsewhere it also is justification for the lack of respect that Blacks receive by other Races and by the institutions of White Supremacy like the LAPD the Inglewood PD and the Business and Educational institutions(Courts etc.). Also, needing to be dealt with is the 70% of Black women who are gay/bi-sexual. This problem is an outgrowth of the HATRED that 90% of Blacks have for their Race and Culture and yougn Black men impeticular. Until Black Self-hatred is addressed none of these problems will be solved.

Real Brother here. I think the real problem that nobody is willing to discuss is the fact that 90% of Blacks in America hate themselves, their Race and still feel that Whites are Superior. No Sellout. TKCAL
