  • Workmans Compensation or Arnolds folley as it is known by Californians injured at work has left many formerly healthy workers and there familys though no fault of there own at the mercy of big insurance companies to get medical treatment which is often refused so then the Taxpayers of California are left to pay for medical treatment that is the duty of big insurance companies and already paid for by small business so there in lies the big double dip by insurance companies who support Arnold in his bid for President

  • Every one knows that the things the governor failed to do were caused by the Republicans and the Democrats. The most evil thing facing the American people ae the political parties and the type of people that are willing to run for office in theirparty. Look atwhat has happened to Sen. McCain sincehe got ther Presidential bug..

  • Schwarzenegger convinced California to spend $6 billion (including interest) on stem cell projects. What a joke.

  • You think this is bad? I can't wait to see all you people in California driving your electric golf cart cars to work. Man you people are screwed up. You want to vote in the feel good democrats and their good policies. It's not your Governor that's the problem. Your stupid legislature is your problem. I don't agree with Arnold on everything. I can tell all of you one thing. You better take your state back from dems. All yea! stop telling the rest of us how to live. We don't give a crap how live out there. Anyway, it don't look like it's working out for ya!

  • He seems to make both sides of the aisle upset. Makes me think he is doing something right.

  • Dana and Sean K. are correct. This is just a taffy pull. Forget the rest of the week. Forget the LATimes. On to the Bee and Flash Report for some real news on the Capitol and the Governor's latest failure...

  • The Governor must accept that the budget has grown 10% each year that he has been in charge. He vetoes next to nothing. It isn't a "quirk" that the Republicans held to the 2/3 requirement. The Governor has to admit that the Legislature cannot continue to spend billions more than comes in as revenue.

    Johnny Rico @ 5:27 PM PDT, Sep 15, 2008

  • Schwarzenegger is a failed governor. Instead of living within our means, we add more and more debt to California's finances. The basic problem is that we spend more than we have. You either increase revenue or decrease expenses or both. Instead, he comes up with gimmicks like the bond measure a few years back, so we continue to drown in this sea of debt. Schwarzenegger should have stayed with acting.

    Stev @ 4:02 PM PDT, Sep 15, 2008

  • So Arnold is to be complimented for forcing California to borrow more than ever? Bonds, bonds and more bonds...that seems to be the sum total of his governorship. What about his actions in rolling back the VLF, which could have single-handedly saved most of our budget shortfall this year? Arnold is the biggest disaster ever. He raised more special interest money than any governor in our history; spent more of our money by borrowing from future generations; and presided over the largest budget deficit and longest budget impasse in our history. Oh yeah, we're better off!
