  • Anthony s: "Not one Black, male or female has been in the White House after dark." Oh, please. Colin Powell? Condoleezza Rice?

  • Weve come so far. I think not. Why cant everyone just be honest, oh thats right that wouldnt be politically correct, . When my in-law watched Obamas first speech as the Democratic elect, he nearly had a heart attack.Reasons why the hate came out of his mouth with spit and venom flying, and none of it matched up to what I know his ideals for America should be. If he didnt know Obama was black hed be out canvassing for the future leader.

  • Historic? A white woman in the White House? White women have been living in the White House since it opened. Not one Black, male or female has been in the White House after dark. A White Woman has even been the Vice Presidential nominee. No Black has ever even been asked, let alone chosen for VP. Historic? The only history to be made is the history that is being made. Barack Obama. A nominee for all people, who happens to be Black.

  • This is for "Marlyn Keen". The Clinton Campaign decided to run as the front runner, Candidate in waiting, in the DEMS process. That was the mantel they wanted. Remember Incumbents/front runners get all the spot light and the underdog gets none. That is that the Clinton's wanted and it happened to not work in their favor. Don't blame Barak for being the underdog since most of that same media had wrote him off last fall.

  • Clinton's problem was not her gender or Obama. Her problem was Mark Penn her 1st campaign manager. He didn't plan well because all signs point to this being an easy process. When things turned bad they didn't have plans in place. Obama benefitted from a large number of states west of the Mississippi River not really liking the Clinton's. He won most of the state west of IL except for few like CA, TX, and AZ.

  • For "with my choices!": Barak was an organizer on the South Side of Chicago before he went into politics. How is this not working for Civil Rights? Remember, he is not running the the Civil Rights Leader of American. That title is already taken by Rev Al or Mr. Jackson. I also think the next generation of blacks are not looking for "Civil "leader but for black politician who can become Senator, Governors, and maybe one day President. I personally thought Harold Ford jr would be the first black to make a serious run for the white house.

  • This is for "Disgusted with my choices!". Barak's team didn't call clinton names or attack her. The one member of the Obama camp that said something about clinton, They called her a witch, was ask to resign. Do you remember that?

  • I really saw Hillary push it to the limit the 2nd half but just too late. I think she got a bad deal from the media. They were talking about her having no chance of catching up while she was campaigning 16 hours a day. Hillary contacted to the seniors, the working poor, women and Obama seemed to need college graduates or people earning 100M a year. How is he going to get the average American to come his way? I sure think a lot of people will stay home and not vote. I will vote but not happy about my choices.

  • What's the point of having two Obama supporters discuss gender? Who cares about their credentials; if they support the same male candidate, they obviously don't see any importance in supporting a female candidate. No one assumes or maintains that racism--90% of the African American voters voting for Obama because he's black or 10-15% of white voters not voting for him because he's black--doesn't exist. What doesn't exist is overt racism in the mainstream media; this is not true of sexism. This clearly exists in the mainstream media, but because it's directed primarily at women, it just isn't that important.

  • As a Black woman, I agree with Shirley Chisholm - sexism trumps racism. I don't like Clinton but I despise Obama. I was appalled by the attacks of the Obamaites...The name calling, YouTube of Hilary as Nazi by a Obama campaign worker, all before a single Clinton attack. I've read numerous articles on why women shouldn't just vote for a woman and only one that suggests that Blacks should not just vote for a Black. This Do-Nothing has never worked for civil rights just gained from them, has NO connection to African-American history, is 'offended' when shown in African dress or is called Muslim or is connected to Rev Wrights "too Black" ideas.
