  • Porn is obviously loved by millions and has been since the beginning of recorded history. It won't be ending; thank the lord for those of us who enjoy it. As a straight male who enjoys porn I don't even want to hear another mans voice in such a film. It's about female sexuality as far as I'm concerned and any man interested in equal opportunity in porn films for other men; please proceed to the small gay section. We have nothing against gay, as long as it's female. Thank you.

  • seems to me we have two separate discussions here: Porn, and bad stuff that goes on while porn is going on. The problem is that someone seems to think that getting rid of the former will get ride of the latter, or even more oddly: Using the latter as an excuse to get rid of the former. Neither will work: As others point out, if drug abuse and mistreatment of people is an excuse to get rid of porn, it is also an excuse to get rid of movies, music and politics. Second, getting rid of those things will not, ever, get rid of abuse and drugs and so on.

  • I actually felter "dirtier" watching Adam Sandler's move "The Zohan" that seeing a few healthy adults bump in an adult film. "Pornography" and cruedness can come in many forms.

  • This country is becoming less and less free as we ban more and more things. All you prudes need to get over it. If the porn industry has a lot of troubles with addiction, we should address what mental factors cause addiction and heal people instead of reining in the porn industry.

  • The truth is somewhere in between. Stagliano's art may be art to a select minority in New York City, London or Paris, but mainstream, it isn't. These "art" pornos sell at best 2000 copies on DVD, not exactly mainstream. On the flip side, Stagliano is right about the adult industry being more honest than the "legitimate" film, television, and music industry. The "legitimate" entertainment media is rife with casting couch stories, not to mention backyard hot tub parties loaded with illegal drugs. The list of which mainstream stars have *NOT* gone through drug/alcohol rehab is alot smaller than the abusers.

  • "It is the expression of the creativity of the people I respect the most. They are not afraid to reach. They are using their bodies in ways unimaginable before. It is art in the purest sense of the word -- art that challenges; art that makes you think." - Mr John Hey, people who object to porn (and i am one of them) are not some prudes or fundamentalist nuts who hate sex or something. Me, i'm all for nudity or human body as an art form. But porn? that aint no davinci-like art. Its cheap gratification, not sensuous art

  • I agree with John...and it aggravates me to see Berry McDonald pull in the "poor women..." argument...and the "empty...lonely lives" During the 12 years I worked as I stripper (which paid for the college and the 15 years I've worked as a nurse) there was no time that I felt ashamed...lonely...guilt-ridden....as a matter of fact it may have been the most empowering job (exotic dancer/stripper) that I ever had...and it certainly gave me the means to a lifelong dream and career...and I've never regretted a minute of it...

  • Pornography is an epidemic which destroys the minds and souls of those who utilize this product. I am not so evangelical and I love sexual intimacy more than most. However, there are some things in life that are not for sale. Sex is awesome and sacred and it must not sold like a commoditity. The first amendment has limitiations. Pornography certainly does not qualify as a protected category.
