Curtis;there are more Mexicans-57%- than all the rest of the world combined. There are more Mexicans here legal and illegal than the entire population of Canada.

The cost of amnesty would be so enormous that there is no doubt that American taxpayers will face large tax increases to pay for the increased burden that the leeches from south of the border will impose. Programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and food stamps will be swamped with applications by Mexicans. And who will pay for educating their children? School districts whose budgets are already strained will have to build tens of thousands of additional classrooms and hire more teachers and support staff. Many homeowners, facing huge increases in property taxes, will lose their homes because they can't afford the additional burden.

We need to have some form of amnesty for the undocumented workers that are here. The Pilgrims didn't need to have passports or go through immigration. We need to think about the fact that 99% of us in the U.S. are all descended from immigrants. people in the U.S. need these workers, and they are doing work that no one else is willing to do.Who among you is willing to scoop hof manure out of the large hog buildings 12 hours per day for very low wages.

Illegal aliens are like cancer, they spread ruin and kill communities. We must find a cure for illegal aliens and their spread accross the United States of America.

I'm not a white racist, I'm simply a black american who strongly opposes illegal immigration and illegal immigrants. My wife is asian (a pharmacist) and we struggled to pay all sorts of fees, and cooperate with the authorities to have her immigration matters handled appropriately. However; watching mexicans protest/demand services including but not limited to citizenship was appauling. Latin immigrants are generally uneducated, unskilled workers, who drain our systems, however they have the audacity to believe they have something coming above and beyond individuals who are trying to get here or stay here with education and skills.

We all said that attrition through employer enforcement is the only way to truly get control of illegal immigration! The enforcement side of the 1986 amnesty must be enforced!!

I would agree with Jay. Why is this even a debate? Illegal Aliens break the law coming across the border illegally. This makes them criminals Tthey do not respect this country, its culture or its laws. Heck they can not even respect our language. They shouldnt get no health care or education, they should receive NOTHING ! They are criminals, the only thing they should receive is a> >> boot back to where they came from. The total costs of illegal aliens is a whooping. $ 338.3 + BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR. This madness needs to stop.

When I went to work in Mexico, I had a work visa. For every American worker we had to hire one Mexican. Funny I never hear the Latinos talk of this or how bad they treat each other. Central Americans are deported from Mexcio when they are caught without a entrance visa and the Mexicans murder, rape and robe those same brother Lations all the damn time. Mexicans get a reality check of your own house before you claim racism here in my house.

Concerning illegal immigration,The US military is a large group of undocumented aliens that are in Iraq. That does not excuse people sneaking in from Asia and Latin America into the US, but it does make all those right wing loud mouths hypocrites when they whine about, "illegal immigrations".
Richard @ 10:22 PM PST, Feb 7, 2008
Why is this even a debate? Break the law, pay the price (deportation). If you want to change the law, suggest an ammendment to the Constitution. The stats and opinions here mean nothing, as this is a Constiutional Republic, not a Democracy.
