  • Great moment for minorities and ending racism. I predict his presidency will be great for american history. If the republicans are worried now, they are going to be really worried in the years to come as the political climate in this country shifts dramatically to the left.

  • Campbell, Obama is hardly a socialist, obviously you do not know what socialism actually is. Despises the constitution? Umm... no that was Bush and the Republican party that supported him who have done more damage to our constitution that anyone in our nations history! Campbell. I say this with love from one fellow American to another. PLEASE, You need to stop listening to the Fox "news" and all that right wing talk radio, it is warping your perception of reality!

  • I must agree that Mr. Obama's success is quite a milestone in history. In fact, it may mean that racism in this country is finally on its way out. That is a good thing. But now let's get back to business. We have a troubled economy, foreign wars to deal with, areas with high crime rates, etc. Time will show if Mr. Obama and his staff have solutions that actually mitigate these problems instead of making them worse. We can only "hope".

  • Mr. Cain, For the GOP to back away from its ideals in order to win more of the young vote is troubling. Do you think people should change their beliefs based on what others think of them? To change the appearance of my beliefs to deceive others into thinking I agree with them is dishonest. It would be like Mr. Obama saying he supports the 2nd Amendment when he supports city handgun bans. It is dishonest, and this widespread dishonesty gives politicians a bad name. The pendulum will swing back in 4-8 years, and when people see that Mr. Obama hasn't brought utopia they will vote "change" again, and the GOP will be back in power.

  • Hey Jen, Now you can (somewhat) experience what so many of us have had to endure for the past 8 years. Shame and humiliation. But, take heart, at least this President isn't a reforming alcoholic with a history of substance abuse not to mention his inability to speak proper english. This is the first time in decades I won't cringe when I see the American flag.
