Sarah Palin has every right to her views, just as Gloria Steinem has the right to point out how anti-feminist the VP's views are.

I am an old (68 year old) bleeding-heart, liberal feminist and I say government needs to keep its laws off women's bodies. I would have never had an abortion and I will do anything possible to keep my granddaughters from ever having an abortion, but in the long run it is their choice. God gave women the facility for producing children and the free will to do it in their own way or not at all.

The comments from Liberals and feminists that the Sarah Palin choice is an insult to women, may just be why so many women are getting behind her. To make these comments is a direct insult not just to Palin but to every American woman who sees something of herself in Palin. And believe me, there are many of us. We may not agree on all of the issues, but she is much closer to America's every day women than Hilary Clinton could ever hope to be. Believe it or not there are a lot of women out there who don't respect or like Clinton and are looking for an alternative! And guess what, by looking at the polls, we've found her!

My view of being pro-life does not mean the criminilization of abortion. I simply don't want it used as a form of birth control or to use my tax dollars to pay for it. Why I am not pro-choice, simply because of whack jobs who think that a restriction on an abortion is somehow the same as a refusal of the right to one. I don't see why requiring someone to attend counselling and other measures before having an abortion is such a big deal. Women or people who advocate drive through abortion rights, and put me on the tab for it, are the reason 40% of the country doesn't get behind being pro choice.

All of the Liberals out there need to wake-up and smell the coffee. Palin is the best thing for American politics since sliced bread. What a refreshing breath of fresh air. Here's to Sarah! from Janice in Colorado.

Thanks to the suffragettes, women have voices and choices! Most people are totally in the dark about HOW the suffragettes won votes for women, and what life was REALLY like for women before they did. "The Privilege of Voting" is a new free e-mail series that follows eight great women from 1912 - 1920 to reveal ALL that happened to set the stage for women to win the vote. Exciting, sequential episodes. Subscribe free at www.CoffeebreakReaders.com/subscribe.html

"...The technical definition of a psychopath is someone who appears completely normal on the outside but whose internal world is distorted, irrational, and narcissistic. Sarah Palin IS a psychopath. I don't say that metaphorically. She is literally a psychopath." Jon K., you are so right on this. Here is the real danger in puting this woman in the executive branch of our government: she is basically evil with a pretty face and convincing manner. As a mental health professional of over 35 years, I can tell you that the "best" sociopaths can not be easily spotted by most. Think Ted Bundy, then get the heck away from Sarah Palin.

The statement that a "number of people who call themselves 'pro-life' are confused" is insulting. Is she saying that large numbers of women are simply incapable of understanding the issues of the day? This is Conceit Of The Anointed in spades. The other problematic statement is the comparison of gun rights to abortion & birth control "rights." It is axiomatic that no product or service can be a right. That is not an opinion. It is a fact. Also, the statistic that women make less pay then men for comparable work is false. When holding for education & experience the pay is nearly equal. Katherine - 1 Amanda 0
