Letters: No to torture

Re “On torture, Romney’s wrong,” Editorial, Oct. 3

Thank you for the powerful editorial that eloquently lays out the case against a return to the policies of the past. Euphemisms aside, a return to “enhanced interrogation techniques” would be nothing less than a return to torture.

A large body of evidence has shown that these techniques do not enhance our security. But they do destroy the physical and psychological health of those who endure them.
