  • Ha ha. When the libs might get someone in office that they don't like and who might actually be a straight-shooting, stand up America, what do they say? ABOLISH THE OFFICE. Ha ha. How transparent. Sorry libs, you're not changing the constitution any time soon. The libs are terrified something might happen to McCain and Palin will become president. They can't stand the idea of another Reaganesque president.

  • WELL, Dangit why don't we just call the next president King and his wife Queen. Then we'll be back to square one. Talking heads have to think of somthing to write about so this Joe came up with ( well, we just need one man for president and forget about the vice). Akerman...hmmmm probably doesn't believe in our constitution either. I'll give you an idea to write about....poverty and health care for the people in this country. Morons, everywhere you look morons.

  • Give DC a Senator, there would be 101 thus no ties, This only works if evry senator votes.

  • One more thing: As for the Electoral College, Ackerman forgets that it was also instituted to avoid factionalism. I have zero desire to see a presidential candidate sweep the urban areas to win the White House while completely ignoring the rural areas. Just how many elections with that scenario in place do you think it would take before the rural areas would get fed up and want to leave? No, keep the College but do away with electors.

  • Somehow I think that Ackerman would have a completely different opinion if McCalin-Palin were more to his liking. No, this has nothing to do with what's best for the country and everything to do with partisanship. Nice try, Bruce.

  • This all points to the change we need.We really need someone who really represents the people. If the top of the ticket has the support ,the VP can be brought up to speed. I am sick of people like Barney Frank who was voted in, having power over my financial future. He is a dishonest representive of the government today. Yes, we need a change, an Honest change. I am an independant. I find little to admire in either the Senate or Congress.

  • That's your argument? A complete liberal and non-objective journalist. And you wonder why FOX has the best ratings.

  • Just for the sake of keeping this going I could break the ties in the senate.

  • Seems to me that you think like Obama who by his answer at Saddlerback feels that certain parts of the Constitution you or him disagree with should be either ignored or abolished.Thank GOD you nor him have that power. The Vice President shoud not be someone who just gets the President elected, which is the choice Obama made, they should be someone with a mind of their own who will take what is best of the Presidents and get it through the Senate as well as one who will,if GOD forbid, step up and run this Nation as they know is best for this Nation not for the party like Biden will try if Obama were elected then died in office.

  • Who's going to break ties in the Senate?
