  • Waxman's diatribe (not the first anti-HFPA piece The Times has run) didn't discourage the paper, which covered the non-event with great vigor, as usual.. Significantly, Goodridge doesn't address Waxman's contention that the HFPA has something like 80 voting members.

  • I went through the membership list. I've never heard of one of them, never! Most articles about the HFPA state that most of them are waiters, small time flacks & worst of all, some generally disreputable characters that show up mooching at gifting suites! [Although that does describe 99% of Hollywood]. Most get one absurdly idiotic article printed by some obscure paper in Europe that does so because they get it free.

  • If Waxman thinks the Association is so bad, why would she want domestic media to join it? Isn't this all about food envy?
