With software like SoundTaxi, savy users are able to convert all of the DRMed music into standard mp3 files, thereby making the music portable to other devices, including iPods. These music subscription services are a great way to get all of the music you want for $9/month!

you want my money, but I can't keep the music. Gee...wonder why that's failing? On a related note, I hear itunes is doing fine.

Who really cares about music subscription services? I'm one of those who continues to buy CDs, albeit mostly used CDs. I can convert the format as I wish and save them into iTunes and take them wherever I go and effortlessly play them through my car's audio system. I don't mind paying $5-$8 for something that I want. Besides, I can resell the CDs and use the money to buy more. Don't have to mess with messy protection schemes at all.

If the providers of subscriptions believe their users will accept music playback freezes, hiccups and general software playback problems, then I have a bunch of used LPs and scratched CDs they can purchase from me at full price.

Subscription Music Services will work when my "virtual jukebox" is accessible from home, in my car, on my portable player, and anywhere else I can play the music I buy and can play anywhere.

Why you should vote for Hillary? Talk is cheap. Can anyone name one thing Obama has done even in IL? Im involved in the financial lives of so may Americans (Credit & money Management). 1. While Obama claims he did not vote for Iraq war, did anyone of you think with yourself it was because he was NOT holding ANY PUBIC OFFICE. 2. Not until 2-3 weeks ago, all you would hear Obama say was "CHANGE" nothing else. No concept or facts to back it up. Meanwhile, Hillary was repeatedly talking about the same issues and facts (Healthcare, education, children, etc). ...and more
