Sarah Palin has invented a new word, and she's not making any apologies for it. In fact, she's equating it with what Shakespeare did. Palin said "refudiate" during an interview on the Sean Hannity Show on FOX News, which is a cross between the words "rebut and "repudiate." Not only did Palin say the word on live TV, she also tweeted it while discussing the proposed Islamic Community Center and Mosque near Ground Zero saying "peaceful muslims, please refudiate.
She also sent out another tweet saying, "'Refudiate,' 'misunderestimate,' "wee wee'd up.' English is a living language. Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Got to celebrate it. Refudiate it."
Film critic Roger Ebert responded to Palin's new word by sending a message to Palin's Twitter account, which said "Urgent to Sarah Palin USA: Shakespeare would rather have died than 'coin' the meaningless non-word."
