Biden, who has run for the presidency several times, has decades of experience between the Senate and the vice presidency, and has teased the news media about the likelihood that he will seek to replace President Obama in the White House. But for Biden, age and his predilection for gaffes could impair any future effort. He will be 74 in 2016, and would be the oldest president at inauguration.
