  • Moree Bush Hatred (BDS). You liberal losers need to get a life. Hillary has no accomplishments in public life. Zero. And George Bush has done an OK job. Far better than you.

  • All you who go on about how Bush has raped and ruined the country - the economy's been strong for years now; the US is (hard to deny it now) winning in Iraq, and the Iraqis themselves seem happy now to see Saddam AND the insurgents gone or going; there's been no repeat of 9/11; France and Canada have elected relatively pro-American leaders, so international esteem for the US seems to be stabilizing, or rising; and your own protestations about Bush show that freedom of speech is alive and well. Seems life in the US right now is occasionally problematic, but on the whole not so bad. Sooo, how exactly has Bush ruined the country, by your lights?

  • What color is the sky in LA?? If Clinton loses; blame George Bush!! I can hear her concession speech now. "If W had not been President, I would have won." Yeah lady - and if "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts we would all have a merry Christmas!

  • Reading this missive, I realize again why editorial writers at the Times don't claim authorship. Sheesh.

  • i picked up a few pounds over the holidays. while extra eating a drinking might have something to do with it, i really believe george bush is to blame. when will the liberal media and democrats who lack accountability stop blaming everything on W. you're supposed to be a bit more intelligent than playing a blame game.

  • This is without a doubt the most ridiculous piece of drivel I've read so far in 2008. And that's no small feat, considering I do, on occasion, read the NYT editorial page, albeit strictly for amusement.

  • Republicans lie perniciously about Clinton & Obama. But it is true that both are sabotaging blue-collar workers. Here’s how: The utra-rich have manipulated our government to let millions of illegal aliens come here, then exploited illegals’ labor to drive down blue-collar wages as much as 25% & bust the unions. Clinton & Obama would legalize them, triggering an even bigger flood over borders the Democrats’ half-hearted measures wouldn’t secure. So it seems that Clinton & Obama are trolling for Latino votes by pandering to them, meanwhile trying to retain Anglo votes through deception and race-baiting.

  • Hillary "spent a long and honorable career building up the experience that would qualify her"??? Um, would that be the 'thirty five years' she keeps boasting about? Of course the woman didn't even get elected to a public office until 2000. Before that she was riding on credentials not much more impressive than Lady Bird Johnson's or Mamie Eisenhower's--unless all the great policy-making she supposedly did is buried in those National Archives papers that Bill doesn't want anyone to see. What a preposterously illogical editorial!

  • Yeah, it's all Bush's fault. LOL!

    Mike @ 3:27 PM PST, Jan 10, 2008

  • Senator Clinton has it all over Mr. Obama. She has the experience and the know how to get the job done. Hell even my 19 and 22 year old son's like her. We want someone in office that has experience not just 1 or 2 years. Yea he fast talking but he just doesn't have what it takes to be president of the United States of America. He doesn't even put his hand on his heart when he says the pledge, and you want him in office. I think not.
