1. Wait, El Porto has always been El Porto and now it's North Manhattan Beach? How unoriginal. I've been going to that beach every summer since I was a kid and it happens to have some of the best beach food, surf, and sand. I think someone should tell the city to change the name back to what it should be.

2. I loved the town when I lived there. It was fun and free living and I would not have change it for a moment. I am sorry to see thngs have and will change. The many places I have lived, I cannot find a place as unique as El Porta, Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach. But again when money comes in it makes it inevitable.

3. why are you doing the locals injustice. El Porto is what they know leave it alone. I visit friends there and there is a special kind of vibe,magic with the name that just goes with the feeling of that area. changing the name will take away the vibe and memories that locals have been acustomed to.The rich politicians that want to change the name don't even live there.I love the name and the place,leave it be.
