This particular sort of motorcycle doesn't interest me. I'm more interested in vintage machines being, er..., "vintage" myself. So I would just as soon look at Susan Carpenter. That will never go out of style.

Not sure from the article why this is any different from any other crotch-rocket. Too much horsepower, too little torque, the uncomfortable ass-in-the-air posture of the new boy (or girl) on cell block "A".......... Totally inappropriate machine to be ridden on public roads.

I'll strongly take the opposite position that Martin expressed. By adding your personality and life into the reviews, it makes it much more accessible to non gear-head readers. Keep it up. Your reviews are pushing me closer and closer to buying a bike, at age 50. Something that I haven't considered since I was was a semi hippie-dude back in college during the late 1970's. Maybe I'll start dropping hints to my wife....

Beautiful Bike! I've seen it in person and it's fantastic. By the way check out this shop for MV Agusta parts & accessories : www.vesuvioracing.com

Great writing, Susan. Having crossed over to bicycles in my late 20's, your article almost makes me want to cross back to motorbikes again. Unfortunately, none of the bikes seem to have kick starters any more.

Hmm a $120K bike and it overheats when standing at a traffic light? With poor engineering like that maybe MV Agusta deserves to be in financial trouble. And the question is how much am I willing to spend on a motorcycle? hmm maybe 6K for a new used.

You are truely blessed to be able to ride-um, EXPERIENCE-this machine. It's probably worth every caloric effort that went into its making, and then some. Pity us mere mortals aren't available to mount this savage beast. That's why we have you, as our proxy, to be able to write down the pleasure and practicality[or lacking thereof] for us road test wannabes. As for whether I would spend that much on a bike is dependent upon my financial resources-right now, I couldn't. But let me win at lotto and this bike, the $75k Ducati, a Norton 850 Commando, and 4 others of this ilk, would be my daily rides-one for each day of the week.

I wish I could understand how this 412 lb. nice machine gets only 4.5 mpg more than my overweight, underpowered six-cylinder 2000 LHS. I am not a motorcycle rider. I watch guys and girls riding them, and it seems a shame that they are not saving substantial fuel as well as having fun.

I like the way the author comments on it being so tough being a female moto journalist, and then so much of the video is spent filming her legs and feet. You want to be taken seriously? Get over yourself.

Excellent review. You made me feel like I was there with you the test ride. Good job. Keep up the good work. As far as the bike, can he heat the water in my toilet tank?
