Great looking car? or is it a motor bike? or is it a Cessna on the preflight routine. Would like to see the crash test results first before I buy it. How much does it cost?

The Trirod looks like an absolute blast! I saw one at the SEMA show in the Pirelli booth. Very impressive! I just found their web site - www.trirodmotorcycles.com.

I drive an older Toyota MR2. My car has sustained numermous collisions both while driving and especially when parked on the street. Drivers of larger vehicles are oblivious to smaller vehicles. Good luck to anyone who gets one of these three wheelers.

Way too expensive, these things are priced higher than the average car. When they get down to the price and high qualityof the average Japanese motorcycle ($6k-$10K) - which I believe they will in ten years or so - they will sell in big numbers. People will buy them for the sense of adventure, the high mileage, and the access to the HOV lane. The HOV lane access for these vehicles is huge, it's what sells a lot of Priuses. I'm surprised the Throttle Jockey didn't mention it, but maybe she'd been jolted over too many potholes during the road test :)

Between the Tesla Motors vaporcar that hasn't been delivered, and the Aptera vaporcar that won't be delivered until "late 2008" (which probably means 2010 at the earliest), the fearless news media sure loves to reprint press releases from whatever startup can hire a p.r. firm.
