March of Dimes event raises $265,000

A recent March of Dimes event in Costa Mesa raised $265,000.

The Oct. 5 Signature Chefs Auction took place at the Westin South Coast Plaza hotel. The funds will help benefit education, research and advocacy programs to ensure babies receive a healthy start in life, according to a news release.

This year’s lead chef was Yvon Goetz of the Winery Restaurant and Bar, which has locations in Tustin and Newport Beach.

“This year’s Signature Chefs Auction was the most successful to date,” Goetz said in the release. “This event brings together the region’s top chefs, many of whom are good friends, to create awareness and raise funds for a cause that is so important — healthier moms and babies. As a father of two, I value the March of Dimes’ mission in our community.”
