Italian Catholic Federation awards FSHA student scholarship

Carly Spina, a senior at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, on May 19 will be the recipient of a scholarship presented by the Italian Catholic Federation Branch 374 at St. Bede the Venerable Roman Catholic Church. The event begins at 6 p.m.

A native of Bellevue, Wash., Spina attended Holy Family Elementary School prior to FSHA. She plans to attend UC Santa Barbara and hopes to eventually become an occupational therapist. She is being honored by the federation due to her academic performance and the many honors she received while in high school. Her hobbies include being involved in performing arts.
