Danville police have made an arrest in a Martinsville murder case.
Timothy Jones is charged with second degree murder and other felonies in a deadly shooting that took place on December 30th.
Officers found Anthony Hayden outside of his home off Liza Court in Martinsville after being shot.
Authorities say the the victim and Jones had gotten into an argument just before the shooting.

On January 11, 2012 Timothy Montrell Jones was arrested in Danville, Va. by members of the Danville Police Department. Jones, a 24 year old male of #61 Liza Court in Martinsville, Va., has been wanted on charges of Second Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Possess Firearm by a Convicted Felon. All of the aforementioned charges are felonies.
Jones was arrested without incident at a residence on Aspen Street in the City of Danville at approximately 9:40 a.m.
Jones is currently incarcerated in the Danville City Jail under no bond.
On December 30, 2011 at approximately 8:02 p.m. the Martinsville/Henry County Emergency 911 Center received a call reporting that a man had been shot in the area of Liza Court in Martinsville, Va.
When Henry County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived they found Anthony Tyrone Hayden lying on the ground with a wound to his back and abdomen. Hayden was transported to the Martinsville Hospital and later died as a result of those injuries.This incident is still under investigation and authorities are seeking any information about this incident.
