Three miles of the east bound traffic is blocked because crews are installing a guard rail.
Crews started this morning shifting traffic to one lane.
This is the first guard rail for this section of the road.
Neighbors in the area say there hasn't been any bad wrecks on the stretch of road recently but they're glad for the extra safety measure.
