Vice President Joe Biden's rallied voters today. His third political pitstop was in Wytheville.
The VP was introduced and got what looked like a closer than normal kiss on stage, then laughed it off. Biden was about an hour late to the rally at Spiller Elementary.
That didn't seem to matter much to hundreds of die-hard democrats who waited patiently.
In a blazer and no tie, Biden, almost immediately, launched into attacking the Romney-Ryan campaign and the republican party. "The last time these guys unshackled the economy to use their term, they put the middle class in shackles. That's how we got where we are!" he told voters.
That comment came after Biden made a statement about Romney's campaign allow big banks to put the public in shackles again, during his stop in Danville. Later in the day Mitt Romney's campaign jumped on the vice president's "shackle comment" especially since his speech was geared toward what was a predominiately black crowd.

Biden sounded off on Romney's characterization that his tax cut plan is "gutsy."
"I don't get what's gutsy about giving millionaires a tax break," Biden said. "I don't get what's gutsy about gutting Medicare."
One of Biden's jabs at Romney cut so deep that the Romney campaign asked the Obama campaign to rescind the comment.
"Look at what they value and look at their budget and what they're proposing," Biden said. "Romney wants to let the - he said in the first 100 days he's going to let the big banks once again write their own rules. Unchain Wall Street. They're going to put y'all back in chains."

Biden said he and the president's objective is to restore dignity to the middle class. He praised President Obama, saying he has a "backbone like a ramrod."
"I've watched him never once put his political fortunes ahead of what he thought was right for country."
Vice President Biden reminded supporters of the Obama administration's accomplishments: ending the war, finding Osama bin Laden and rebuilding health care. He said a bumper sticker could read "Osama Bin Laden is dead. General Motors is alive."
Former Congressman Tom Perriello and Danville Mayor Sherman Saunders introduced Biden.
Biden arrived in Danville on Tuesday night and went to a George Washington High School football practice. Biden also made a campaign stop in Wytheville on Tuesday, and an unscheduled stop Tuesday in Floyd. His motorcade stopped at the Floyd County Store, and Biden was given a vanilla milkshake.
With Virginia being a key battleground state, this is the Obama campaign's third visit to the region this year. Michelle Obama gave a graduation speech at Virginia Tech in May, and President Obama spoke in downtown Roanoke last month.
The Vice President made a mistake at the conclusion of his speech. Biden told the Danville, Virginia, crowd that "With you we can win North Carolina again."Biden has a campaign stop scheduled for Wednesday in Blacksburg.

According to Danville assistant fire marshal Richie Guill, 882 people were on hand to watch Biden speak.
