NEW YORK (WPIX)—An FDNY EMT has been arrested in connection with five sexual assaults that have occurred since 2001, authorities announced on Wednesday.
Angus Pascall, 33, of Brooklyn has been charged with rape, sexual abuse, criminal sex act, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
Pascall allegedly struck again last May, when he raped a 19-year-old girl in an elevator, police said.
In addition, he is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl last October in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. This time, police say he was armed with both a knife and gun and forced the teenager to the rear of an apartment building where he tried to assault her. However, the victim was able to fight Pascall off, police said.
He is accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in Crown Heights on July 11. In that instance, he entered an elevator with the young girl, armed with a gun and sodomized the girl, police said.
The latest incident occurred on July 19 in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. Pascall, apparently armed with a gun, is accused of forcing a 20-year-old girl into his car where he raped her. He then forced the victim out of the vehicle and fled the scene, police said. Investigators say he may have used an elevator key in the attack.
Pascall had worked for the FDNY for more than five years, although he was reportedly on restricted duty following the January assault of his girlfriend.
DNA from the previous cases established a pattern and identified the Pascall as the suspect.
