PARK SLOPE, NY (PIX11)—He is still out there and he is still a threat to women. For more than 45 seconds, a 24-year-old screamed and struggled with a sexual predator back in March; the chilling encounter was captured on a neighbor's home surveillance camera. She screamed so loudly, she was eventually able to break free and run away, while the pesky pervert was pulling down his pants.
And now he has struck again.
The latest attack was last Friday night at 8:45 pm. This victim had just left the Prospect Avenue subway station when the sex fiend pounced. Police say he grabbed the woman's breasts and placed his hands under her dress. But like the victim in the video, she screamed so loudly, he ran off before doing the dastardly deed.
And now some Brooklyn women are fearful.
"It's terrifying," one young woman said as she emerged from the same subway station near the latest attack. "You definitely want to go with other people when you're walking around here late at night."
It's been a total of six attacks by the same sexual attacker in the last five months, five of them between the hours of 10:30 am and 4 am, according to police. Only one time did the assault include a rape.
"It's really scary. I didn't know anything about it," another Park Slope resident said.
Some Brooklyn women are upset that the police aren't doing enough. It took them a month to look at the surveillance video from the March attack. And there are just a handful of flyers being circulated in the three Brooklyn neighborhoods where the attacks occurred: Park Slope, Sunset Park and Bay Ridge.
One Brooklyn Council Member had a warning for all women: Sara Gonzalez said, "please be very aware of your surroundings. Stay together and we'll get this fellow."
