It's the first year for the event but if the returns are any indication, the Hershey Bears Boosters Club will host a broomball fundraiser for the Autism Society on an annual basis. FOX43 Sports Director Todd Sadowski was part of the local media invited to play in the celebrity portion of the game at Hersheypark Arena on Saturday afternoon. The boosters practice twice a month and compete in a broomball tournament every year against boosters clubs from other American Hockey League teams.

Saturday's event was simply to raise awareness and money for the Autism Society. Over $1,700 was raised, a total that thrilled the club. Sadowski said he had a great time participating and is hoping to be a fixture in the celebrity game each year!
