The weekend arrests in Terre Haute included 38 minors for underage drinking and 15 adults accused of giving alcohol to minors, Indiana State Excise Police said.

A 17-year-old girl who was visiting her sister in Terre Haute was arrested for illegal consumption during a traffic stop.
Excise police also assisted Terre Haute officers in responding to complaints about a loud party. In that case, police arrested five people for illegal consumption. An underage male ended up in jail after lying to police about his identity, police said.
Excise police were in Terre Haute as part of the Intensified College Enforcement (ICE) initiative. The program targets underage drinking at six colleges: Ball State, Butler, Indiana, Indiana State, Notre Dame and Purdue.
