'Gossip Girl' (2007-12)

Costume designer: Eric Daman Much like "Sex and the City" before it, fans tuned into "Gossip Girl" for the clothing choices that peppered the plot. Through the series' six-season run, Daman (who, fittingly, worked under Field on "Sex and the City" and now creates the costumes for its prequel, "The Carrie Diaries") helped popularize everything from preppy feminine prints and bow headbands to messy ponytails, sequence jackets and also raccoon eyes and glam rocker plaids and skinny black bottoms.
