Thursday, Dec.1: Chadwick Stokes at StageOne, Fairfield. One of the guys from Dispatch who is also in State Radio, if you're into that sort of thing.
Friday, Dec. 2: Gastby's Green Light at Two Boots, Bridgeport. A rhythmic band of apparent F. Scott Fitzgerald fans, from Weston.
Saturday, Dec. 3: The Stamford Symphony at the Palace Theatre, Stamford. They're playing Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony, one of the greatest hits of all time. Why not hear the sountrack to spring, now that winter is upon us? Or go see Alice Cooper at the Klein. Either way.
Sunday, Dec. 4: Ben Taylor at the Discovery Museum, Bridgeport. He's the offspring of James Taylor and Carly Simon: He's got to be good. The early show sold out but they've added a late one.
Monday, Dec. 5: City and Colour at Toad's Place, New Haven. A solo outlet for Dallas Green (Get it? A city and a color?), a singer-songwriter from Canada, eh? He was in the band Alexisonfire.
Tuesday, Dec. 6: Bring-Your-Own Vinyl Night at The Fez, Stamford. Bring your favorite records and play DJ for other people who also brought their favorite records and came to play DJ.
Wednesday, Dec. 7: Robert Cray at the Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield. A real-deal, Clapton-approved blues god. (He was also the bass player of Otis and the Knights in National Lampoon's Animal House)Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
