British playwright Karoline Leach's melodrama set in Edwardian London, Tryst, premiered off-Broadway in 2006, then took a trip to Los Angeles and a few other places before it reached Hartford this year. Andrea Maulella and Mark Shanahan (pictured) play a shopgirl and a rogue, respectively, in this suspenseful drama. Black comedy abounds, and there are enough twists and turns to keep your head spinning for days.
