Letters: Infidelity isn’t a ‘mistake’

Re “Huizar calls relationship with staffer ‘huge mistake,’” Oct. 23

Ordering chicken when you really want fish is a mistake. Having an extramarital affair with a subordinate employee is a choice that was freely made. It only became a mistake for L.A. City Councilman Jose Huizar when he got caught. This speaks volumes about his judgment.

Sadly, it’s likely he’ll be reelected. If endangered species were as protected as incumbent politicians, the Dodo bird would still be walking the Earth today.
