Opinion: Presidents Day Poll: Whom would you pick...

Happy Presidents' Day, or, as they say in federal government circles, Happy Washington's Birthday! Because in the District of Columbia, old habits die hard.

Anyway, as a nod to the presidents born on days other than today -- that is, all of them -- here's a chance to pick some chief executives from the past to take on some of the challenges of modern times. The eight questions don't measure overall popularity; each of the 36 former presidents represented here is presented as an option only once.

Granted, some of these questions may test the limits of your presidential knowledge. But there are no wrong answers here -- it's a poll, not a quiz. So have fun, then go back to celebrating two presidents who tower over their peers like blow-up superheroes floating over Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
