The 10 creepiest mascots of the 2018 NCAA tournament
While some of the world’s best young basketball players will be in fierce competition on courts around the country during the NCAA Tournament this month, devils, tigers, wolves, pirates and something called a “shocker” will be creeping around the sidelines.
We’re talking about the mascots that represent the colleges and universities that participate in March Madness. There are some truly sketchy ones out there, and that includes one that was created after a college’s previous mascots kept dying.

Here in San Diego, we’ve had a bit of a mascot controversy ourselves surrounding the Aztec Warrior, but at least San Diego State’s mascot doesn’t have a soul patch. We’re looking at you, Duke Blue Devil.
We’ll leave the creepy mascots to universities like Texas Tech and Arizona State. Here are the 10 creepiest mascots of the 2018 NCAA Tournament in no particular order.
