A black bear trapped in the Springs Community in Seminole County is released December 8, 2005, into the southern part of the Ocala National Forest. After the bear was sedated at Rock Springs Run Preserve off State Road 46, Kim Annis, a University of Florida graduate assistant, worked up vital statistics on the bear and outfitted it with a radio tracking collar. The male bear weighed 185 pounds and was estimated to be about 3 years old.
