Bluestone Dam in West Virginia

The concrete Bluestone Dam is 2,048 feet long and 165 feet high. It is 16 feet wide at the top and 200 feet wide at the base. It was completed by the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORGOV000281" title="U.S. Army Corps of Engineers" href="/topic/science-technology/engineering/u.s.-army-corps-of-engineers-ORGOV000281.topic">U.S. Army Corps of Engineers</a> in 1952. The spillway is 790 feet long.
