Johnny Damon

Then with the Red Sox, Johnny Damon is mobbed by teammates after he scored the winning run against the New York Yankees on David Ortiz's single in the 14th inning during game 5 of the 2004 ALCS. Damon went to Dr. Phillips High School in Orange County. He helped lead the Red Sox to their first World Series in 86 years along with several other Central Floridians on the squad including Jason Varitek (Lake Brantley), Tim Wakefield (Eau Gallie) and Mark Bellhorn (Oviedo). Damon then went on to join the New York Yankees.
