( JACOB LANGSTON/ORLANDO SENTINEL / January 10, 2005 ) Nine-year-old David Michael, of Tampa, whose stage name is John Henry, waits Saturday to go onstage with bluegrass band Goldwing Express. The band allowed David to join them onstage for 1 song, much to the crowd's delight. David started singing at age 3 and took up the guitar at 6. At a bluegrass festival in Auburndale about a year ago, he approached the members of Goldwing Express and asked to play a song with them. Now whenever they see David in the audience, they ask him to join them on stage. |
