This photo of St. Basil's Cathedral in Red Square, Moscow, was taken by Peter Lanzarone. The cathedral was built in 1560 to celebrate the capture of Kazan from Mongol forces. Commonly called St. Basil's, the official name is "The Cathedral of the Intercession of the Virgin by the Moat."
