Faye Greenwald of Longwood says she can almost guarantee that Grand Teton National Park visitors will have a close encounter with a moose like this female during the summer. Heres her how-to: On the road from Moose, Wyo., just outside the entrance to the park, is Teton Park Road. Take this road on a scenic ride to Teton Village. Look to your left and see a pond that is close by the side of the road. Youll probably experience a traffic jam because of the parked cars. Two days in a row, we saw moose feeding in this pond. This female was so cooperative that she let everyone take her picture while she happily fed herself. The next day we saw a bull moose in the same spot. We had to leave this happy place because vacation ended, but I bet if you go to this pond all summer, youll find a moose waiting for his or her close-up.
