The Oakland A's, led by their famed “Bash Brothers” duo of Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire, won the 1989 World Series over the San Francsico Giants in 4 games. But that series was forever overshadowed by a 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck the Bay Area moments before the start of Game 3 on Oct. 17.
