A miniature tower of rocks against blue glacier ice near Whittier, Alaska, caught the attention of Dylan Marcus of Longwood during a three-generation journey through the Kenai Peninsula. Dylan joined his father and grandfather for a 13-day trip that covered many miles and sights, including coastal brown bears, sea lions and moose. Dylan said he was most impressed by the sounds of the giant blue glaciers calving into Prince William Sound. It was the coldest two weeks of summer he ever spent, a dramatic contrast to Central Florida’s simmering heat.
